Mr. Larry Bennett, long-time member of the Kojosho Board of Regents, passed away Monday night after a long illness.

Mr. "B" was a man of many interests and accomplishments: SAC bomber pilot during the early days of the Cold War, and private pilot; engineer at Sandia National Laboratories from which he retired; imaginative inventor, machinist, and dedicated garage-tinkerer; avid reader, patriot, and student of politics; devoted student of Kojosho, exemplary black belt, and scholar of martial arts; reliable friend, responsible provider, loving husband and father.

His contributions to the Kojosho system are considerable. He was fifth dan black belt, a founder and the first president of the Kojosho Board of Regents, a recipient of a Shinkokai Animal Crest, an Honor Ring recipient for 30 years of service, author of the Kojosho guidelines on ettiquette, and the webmaster of the Kojosho website.. For may black belts in the Kojosho System, he was a role model and a source of sound advice. A Midwesterner by birth, Mr. "B" was valued for his clear thinking, deep-seated values, respect for martial tradition, and his no-nonsense but compassionate approach to life and humankind. His Shinkokai Crest, the Dragon, denotes subtle but deep wisdom and intuition.

Mr. Bennett was a priceless treasure to the Kojosho System. He is loved and missed by all.
