This year Berkeley will be having a two-day DIY (do it yourself) workshop/campette on the weekend of September 18-19. We have a site in the Berkeley hills close to town. If anyone happens to be in the Berkeley area and would like to mix a little Kojosho with a little vacation, you would be welcome to join us. This would be a fine opportunity to work with people you don't normally work with, and to focus on whatever Kojosho project is closest to your heart just now.
Also, the site we have is in Redwood Park, just along the crest of the Berkeley hills. There are hiking trails, beautiful views, and it is literally next door to the Anthony Chabot Science Center. From downtown Berkeley, it is about a 20-minute drive. The name of the site is Redwood Bowl.
Since we have a picnic site and not a campsite, there would be no camping out. However, there is a grill and we will definitely be doing some outdoor cooking.
